But I WAS surprised at the friendly and fast service provided me during a stressful 1031 Exchange. A real live human being with 1031 experience and knowledge answers the phone from 6am to 9pm Pacific Time. As is often the case, everything was being done last minute. The staff at Haven Exchange didn't even blink. My exchange documents were received via email 20 minutes after they were ordered.



When money market funds and banks started to fail and the stock market seemed in free fall, I became very concerned about my exchange funds. People were warning me about the investment practices followed by even the big Qualified Intermediaries. These practices endangered the principle of their clients!



In a panic that it might be too late, I called Haven Exchange at 8:45pm to ask where my money was. I needn't have worried.



After the funds were received by Haven Exchange, they were placed in a separate money market account held as cash at Union Bank and a surety bond was placed on it which insured it against bank failure for every penny. I got the monthly bank statement reflecting interest rate and return, which I retained.



When it came time to close the transaction for my replacement property everything was once again rushed. Once again Haven Exchange didn't pause to cry, but moved so quickly that everything was accomplished in an afternoon.



I'm so grateful that my CPA referred Haven Exchange.
