Stephen Grigsby is a unlicensed plumber and general contractor. License check thru Madison shows he never held any type of license in Wisconsin. Very rude and unprofessional. He was utilized him for a deck remodeling. Numerous code violations and extremely poor carpenter skills. Fraudulent in charging consumer extra for a better quality of wood which he said he obtained from a special mill when actually he used wood products from a local chain. Never finished the job as he became rude and unprofessional yelling at the customer and hanging up never to be heard from again. Legal process started and utilized false identity to avoid being served. Service done via public notice and now has judgment against him. Still utilizing tactics to avoid fulfilling the judgment. Several contractors looked at his work and could not believe the poor cuts and shoddy work. I would not consider this business as he is not licensed in anything and is an untruthful man! One star is too nice for this review.

Steve Grigsby has been my plumber for 14 or 15 years now. He does a great job and his prices are very fair. He has replaced every sink and toilet in my house and most of my pipes, but he also built me a deck, remodeled my bathroom and kitchen, painted my living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room and bathroom. He put up new baseboards, door trim and crown molding. He put in a new water heater, a water softener and a whole-house water filter. He remodeled my downstairs bathroom, too. He did A LOT of heavy duty remodeling for me. And it's all very beautiful and high quality work. When I'm ready for more work to be done, I will have him do my garage and seal my driveway. The man is a master of many trades!

Additionally, he is very friendly and honest. He will talk your ear off, if you let him, but I like that. He was extremely kind to my son who is very ill and disabled. I don't have a bad word to say about the man or the quality of his work.

Very poor quality and attitude. When I first met him he was very consistent on hinting that he had money which led to him informing me he had a top of the line security system at his house, insinuating that I may try to steal from him maybe? All I know is that he was very ignorant and rude, trying to make me feel like a piece of scum next to him. Did work for us a few years ago and we had to have most of it redone. Found out the water heater was leaking gas for 2 years and had to be repaired ( which when we called to confront him he hung up on my wife ). The plumber that repaired everything said it looked like a child did everything. Made the job convenient for him which completely affected the quality. He ran an out door water faucet which now wrapped our brand new siding. Oh and the mess he left was ridiculous. He was very prompt on making sure he got paid. I would not recommend this guy to even try and change the batteries in my flashlight much less touch a pipe in my house again.
