Just left this diner. Found a hair in my veggie omelet, told the waitress who told the cook/owner (?) who stated "she ate it. Don't take it off the bill." Will never eat here again!

Horrible to say the least!

The people were a bit overbearing, nice, but just tooin your face.

I choose the salmon dinner, that came with a salad and soup and 1 side dish. Salad, was ok, could have been colder, as it was room temp. at best. Soup, Lobster bisque, way too salty!!! Sides....I asked for green beans, they were out so she came back and told us so...ok, I'll take the broccolli, they were out of that too.... so at 2pm, they were out of healthy greens. So of all things, I ordered mashed potatoes. BOXED...UGH....gross! Salmon was bad! I took 1 bite and sent it back. Mom's sweet potatoe fries that came with her 1/2 ok open turkey sandwhich were FULLY SATURATED WITH GREASE!

Ok, time for the bill...Normally a good manager would take off the salmon dinner.... NOPE! NOT HERE FOLKS!! They charged me for the salad and soup full price extra! OMG!!! I said something....they did nothing. Totally wrong...like I can return the salad and soup I had prior to getting a bad main course! If they can't stand behind their stuff fully....they lost our business, gained a negative review and word of mouth passed on to others to avoid such a place. They won't last long....not with that food or management. Plenty of other choices in the area.... Hey, I would do MacDonald's over this place!

Lunch today was quick and tasty. Really great onion rings. Side of green beans seem to be canned though. Veggie burger, veg wrap, chicken fingers and hot turkey sandwich all good!

The Great Valley Grill cannot compare to the other diners/restaurants in the malvern/frazer/paoli area. They're a wannabe diner with a menu pretty much copied from every other diner in the area (as far as breakfast/lunch goes), only with sub-par quality. The eggs came out cold and rubbery and the toast was cold as well. It seemed it had been sitting around for a little while. Also, there was a hair in my friends home fries. That was pretty gross. They weren't even busy, so there wasn't really an excuse for that.

The staff was generally pleasant, although a little overbearing. The waitress asked how our food was twice and then the hostess..or maybe she's a manager..not sure but at any rate...the obese women who works at the front came by and asked how our food was right after the waitress left our table. It was hard to enjoy the conversation of my company when the staff kept interrupting.



Anyways, I just wasn't impressed at all and I think I'll stick to the Classic diner or Nudys

Had a pretty bad experience at the Great Valley Grill....



The meal started with a somewhat awkward waitress who seemed clueless to what she was doing....

My friend asked her several questions about the menu, all of which the waitress could not formulate an intelligent response. She had to check EVERYTHING with the kitchen. She seemed nice enough though.

.But anyways:

The food: The soup was cold and overly salty. I almost choked upon taking a spoonful. My friend nearly gagged upon trying it. We let the waitress know and she took them back and we tried the other soup of the day. This one was marginally better, but still a lukewarm.

When we got our food it was okay, but nothing special.....



I won't be returning

This is a hidden gem in Malvern. I've had breakfast here a few times already since they opened.They always have the happiest waitresses and such tasty food!
