BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!I would not hire Bert he has numerous complaints and has messed over a lot of people including my mother. My mother paid him $7,000 to rip up her driveway, repair it and put down 3 in of pavement. He ripped it up and put down 1 inch which sunk a week later (which normal driveways u can drive on 3 days later). He didn't roll it nothing. Now the driveway is so bad I can barely drive on it. And she's been getting estimates to fix his damage and they want $15,000+. Before he was done my mom thought she would be nice and refer him to people at her work BIG MISTAKE!!! He ruined all there driveways, trees etc. I just don't want to see someone else get roped off.

DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

The son (father son operation) stopped by our house one day when he was doing a driveway across the street. He said he'd noticed some of our overgrown trees that needed pruning and that our driveway needed to be resealed. We also needed a hole filled in our back yard and a mowing of an overgrown back yard. He said they'd do it all for $1500. I took his card and said I'd get back to him.

I called him a week later, and he then said he'd need to come over to give an estimate, even though we'd done that. I was out when he came by and my wife went over the same checklist. Suddenly the number was $2125. We did need the work done, so we agreed to the $2125 and he said they'd be over the following week to do the work.

The following week came and went, I called Thursday afternoon to see where they were. Got a sob story from the dad about his daughter being home from college or something along those lines, said they'd need to rent a pressure-washer and something to take down the backyard and since it was Labor Day Weekend coming up couldn't do that until Tuesday. At this point I should have opted out, but we have family coming to visit in early September and really wanted the work completed by then, so I said ok, we'd see them Tuesday.

Today is Tuesday, My wife and I awoke excited to finally have this work underway. Waited all morning without a word. I called the home and cell numbers on the card, left a voicemail, nothing. Finally called the son, he gave me some story about the father pulling in his driveway at 6am and then leaving and not knowing where he was, hoping he was ok etc.

Finally at noon, the father called me and said "Joe, I'm sorry but not going to be able to do that job, but I'm going to let my son do it if he wants to." (word for word)

I told him that that was incredibly unprofessional and that I would be finding someone else to do the work.

Save your time, money and frustration and hire someone who is actually a professional to do your work, not these bozos.
