April Forshee’s love for fabric and sewing began in 1990 when her mother taught her some basics on her old Singer sewing machine. In high school, she took one year of clothing and learned the “correct way” to sew. Her style of sewing is a combination of her self-taught years and the “correct way” she learned in high school.

April has always had an appreciation for things that are both practical and pretty. In school, her book covers that were made out of paper grocery sacks always had extra decoration wrapping the entire cover. When shopping, she searches for that one truly unique item that no one else has. She has committed to providing the same uniqueness with her handmade bags and aprons. Using only high quality quilter’s cotton or canvas, she creates bags and aprons that are one of a kind works made with love. She truly believes that things should be practical, beautiful and unique.
