Keith is a nice guy and seems very honest but I was disappointed by a lack of thoroughness. I repeatedly mentioned items I noticed - that he hadn't (short cycling well pump, porch sag due to structure rot, damaged kitchen counter, exposed wiring in outdoor electric box, etc).



Furthermore, when I asked him to examine the A/C air handler that was mounted in a hallway ceiling - above standard pop out ceiling tiles - he informed me that this was "only a visual inspection" which meant if he couldn't see something in plain sight as he walked through a room, he wasn't going to examine it. Frustrated, I took 10 seconds to remove a few ceiling tiles and asked him to inspect it - since he could now see it. It did indeed have issues that would have been missed if I hadn't been so insistent.



Bottom line, I can't recommend Keith/First Look because he's just not very thorough - and overlooked issues that eventually killed the purchase. If I hadn't been there (and had some decent rehab experience) the inspection report would have missed some definite issues of concern.



I felt like I was the one doing much of the inspecting and Keith was just writing up what I found - along with a few minor items he found in his "visual inspection". That's not how it's supposed to be.
