No sign says this is permit parking. This was a illegal tow and will be sent to the state. Cops even said they have a bad reputation for illegal tows.

I don't know why everyone is getting all pissy, clearly if they've towed you, you are in a place you shouldn't be. They were very nice and helpful, maybe it was because I didn't throw a fit over them towing my car.

This is an unprofessional, rude, and predatory towing company. I was loading my car at a friends apartment with multiple loads of heavy objects and went inside the apartment for 10 minutes to organize the last bit of gear and when I came back out these A-holes had started towing my vehicle. They would not release the vehicle and had to call the police. I ended up having to pay $70 just to get them to go away (would have been several hundred had I been 30 seconds later). I bet the property managers were happy with their nice fat kick-back. I hope those running this scheme rot in hell where they belong.

Unjustified Tow Plus Damage to Car

I had my car parked at Brookside Apartment complex in Boulder in another resident's space. I left a message on my windshield with my cell phone number stating to call me and I would move the car. I was visiting a friend for 30 minutes. Boulder Valley was called by the resident and they towed my car. I was literally in my friend's apartment for 30 to 40 minutes. I paid $200 to get my car back. I discovered a clicking sound in the front of the car while driving after I picked it up. I had an auto repair company evaluate it and they said the drive shaft had to be replaced (approximately $700). They said this could have been caused due to improper tow. The owner of Boulder Valley claims they towed the car properly because that is what they had documented by her driver. Yeah right. If so, how come the repair is needed right after the tow. They refuse to pay for the repair and we will probably have to go to court to resolve this issue. This company is an ambulance chasing type company that combs the Boulder area to tow cars whenever possible. They should have called my cell phone number left on the windshield. Heck no, they would rather get the $200 for the tow. They are an irreputable company. Beware.

If you park illegally downtown and the police tow your car, do they call you first? As to ambulance chasing, towing is goverened by the P.U.C. and has a comprehensive set of rules that have to be followed. Towing companies, at least the reputable ones, do NOT "comb or troll". The property owner or lessee has a right to their property or space, when someone is inconsiderate enough to deprive them of that right, they also have the right to have them towed. The property owner or lessee has to call the towing company, they have to sign an authorization to have the car towed. The towing company does know troll through town choosing what cars to tow. You are un-informed and un-educated. Rates are set by rule of the P.U.C. Also please note that this particular car was placed on dollies when it was towed. This means that NO tires were on the ground during towing and therefore no drive train components were engaged. There was also no court appearance and no law suit as these people became aware that the towing company followed all rules and regulations and no such damage was created by this vehicle being towed.
