my experience

I took my van in to have the heat sending unit repaired as it did not register. I was told by the owner that the heat sending unit was broken off in the intake manifold and the manifold would have to be removed for it to be repaired. I asked the cost and was told $ 401.00.

I took the van home and had a friend take the broken part out with an "easy out". It took about 45 minutes. The part cost 11.50 and the labor $ 50.00 ( for a grand total of $ 61.50 ).

I don't know who Mr. Arnold had do the work, and I know Mechanics are not easy to come by, but If I were him I would be having a serious talk with my mechanic?.
