Wouldn't shop for appliances anywhere other than AJ. For the past 16 years, they have been consistent with selection, pricing, speedy and on time deliveries, service, and customer satisfaction. Everyone from the owners to sales to delivery and service is great.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate the team at Ajay Appliance. When first entering the store my wife and I were confused as to what type of laundry pair to purchase. Our salesperson Joe was very patient with us and took the time to explain what our options were. Not only did we find the laundry pair we wanted, we purchased it for a great price! After visiting a few large appliance stores looking for a dishwasher, I finally found a place where they gave me the attention I feel like I deserved. I didn't know anything about buying appliances and they made the decision and experience so much easier and pleasant for me. They also made sure that I was getting the best price out there. The staff is very friendly and followed up every step of the way so that I knew what was going on. I will definitely be buying from Ajay's again for all my appliance needs... It's also nice to support a local, family run business.

My refrigerator happened to take a crap over the weekend... I called several appliance places before I stumbled on Ajay (which happens to be the only place open at 3:30 on a Sunday) to make an appointment for service THE VERY NEXT DAY! The tech Joe had me scheduled first thing in the morning. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and even played with my dog for a bit (LOL). Joe had the part we needed on his truck and was able to get me running again in under 30 minutes. I never knew about Ajays, now I'll never forget them.

In my opinion, Ajay Appliance of Toms River, NJ is dependent on quick sales, in and out of the store. In our case all they cared about was racking up a sale. We bought an expensive range. Until the deal was closed they acted like our best friend. The day after installation, they didn't want to know us. Our range was defective. They kept stalling and telling us the replacement part was out of stock and being shipped to them. We never heard from Ajay Appliance again. Our calls went unreturned. We will NEVER do business with these liars again and have made it a mission to make our experience with them known on as many message boards as possible. Yes, we have a big mouth now. So, Ajay, was ripping us off worth all the negative publicity you'll see as a result? How foolish. If you had just done the right thing and repaired or replaced the defective item you sold us, you would have been given credit for rectifying the situation. By ignoring us, you avoided a small cost to yourself, but sacrificed your reputation and gained a dissatisfied customer with a big mouth and a very long memory. Very unprofessional. Avoid Ajay Appliance at all costs!

Don't buy here! I purchased a stove , microwave/vent and dishwasher in Sept, 2010. The micro was installed but you couldnt use a large pot on either back burners. I said take it back. The guy who sold me the hood said oh I know your model home and it will fit fine with your cabinets. He came to the house and told me some BS story about the inches it needs to be. I said if I cant use the back burners , what good is it? I went back to the store for a refund. Ha.. they dont GIVE refunds and will have to charge me a restock fee. I was furious! well after arguring a while they took it back no fee.. I took a hood instead. NOW.. my dishwasher pump went. It's NOT even 2 yrs old yet. My warrenty ran out last yr. They wanted $85.00 service fee for their guys to come out. I hung up and called someone else for $55.00 serv fee. This will cost me $295.00 minus serv fee to fix. GE stinks and this place does too. I should have gone to Lowes where I can get an extended warranty.!

Bought a brand new washer/dryer combo. Wasn't working within 36 hours of the 'installers' being there. Called Ajay's. They don't service that brand! Told me to call manufacturer! Said they don't have a return or refund policy. I couldn't even exchange it for something else. Was told once its paid for, its mine. Told me that I 'just want to argue'. As if I have nothing else to do. Smelled something funny, had gas company out - A GAS LEAK FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION! When I called them to advise of the violation - they never returned my call! DO NOT buy here. I was also told they do not have a customer satisfaction policy. I BELIEVE IT!
