Inexcusable! So my car broke down and the roadside assistance service from my insurance sends Ajax Towing. Ajax finally shows up after 3 hours and then demands I push the car up the hill so he doesn’t have to turn the truck around or take two steps to load it. Not only do I have a bad back, but the car weighs 3500 pounds. I couldn’t push a car up a hill, so I told him politely that I can’t do that, and also informed him of my bad back, and he tells me he always makes his customers push the car where he wants it and that it’s my responsibility to do so, and if I couldn’t do that then he would just leave me here. I repeated to him that I was not physically able to do that and he takes off! I tried calling his supervisor which is when I found out it was a one-man operation. The same guy answered the phone and told me he is the owner and then started laughing at me. I want to be clear that I was polite and calm throughout the encounter despite my frustration (I’m a nurse). This owner operator was not only incompetent, but also aggressive and rude during his interactions. Beware!

AWFUL. YP won't let me write the full review because it is too long of a story, but if you search for Ajax on Yelp, you can find my full review there. In a nutshell, let's just say that they have no problems at all leaving a female stuck by herself at a gas station at 10pm, refusing to to her car a half mile down the road because they got caught in a lie. Horrible and unprofessional, I would give them ZERO stars if I could!

In December, my family and I had a run in with Ajax Towing. They had parked their large truck squarely in the middle of the only street in my neighborhood. The street was impassable, even for our small Ford Focus. We politely honked the horn once, twice, and a third time as the workers failed to even glance our way. Finally, a man came toward our vehicle and proceeded to berate us for our rudeness. He continued with foul language (in front of my 2 year old son). There was no apology for causing inconvenience or any such customer service oriented talk. He told us "if we were in such a rush, we should have left earlier". How that is relevant to him blocking our street completely, I'll never understand. The rudeness only subsided when we mentioned calling the police to settle the matter and a second car pulled up behind us. He took his time packing up his things and backing into a driveway took off. I guess Ajax only considers paying customers to be worthy of their time and any one inconvenienced by them is just screwed.
