I have been going there for almost a year , every time I go the service is remarkable and always have clean well-organized shelves and refrigerator. Both the owners and amazing with their customer , no matter what race you are from. It is about 25 min from my place and in between there are many other Indian grocery stores which I can go to but I choose Avkar for service and cleanliness and reasonable pricing.

Taste everything before you leave the store. If you have a problem after purchase, it may be hard to get any corrective actions since the store doesn't give out an itemized receipt. On a recent purchase of some snacks that turned out to be stale, the owner refused to make any corrective actions. Since the store doesn't give out a detailed receipt, it was impossible to convince him of otherwise. I won't be going back to the store ever again.

The store is always well stocked and prices are very reasonable. Better than Devon Ave. in some cases. Courteous service!
