I would not hesitate to recommend Dale James as a builder. Dale just finished building our large custom home. The house turned out beyond our expectations....it's simply incredible!!



Before we hired Dale, we looked at several homes he had built. Once we saw the quality of the construction of these beautifully finished homes, we knew Dale had the expertise. It was also evident the homeowners were very happy with Dale and their homes. Dale has been building homes and businesses in the Napa Valley for over 30 years.



We are now one of those very happy, satisfied homeowners.



Dale is honest, advocates on behalf of us (the owner) to stick to the budget and brings to the table a skilled set of subcontractors. Dale likes to get the job done and we never felt the project stalled. Our site supervisor was wonderful. Because Dale is so experienced, we really did not stress over the project. It is a long process to build a custom home, but Dale walked us through every step and kept the process manageable and fun. Dale is particularly good at coming up with budget conscience solutions to building details you as a homeowner want in your new home. We appreciated that a lot. He takes the budget seriously. Dale also takes his relationship with the homeowner seriously and works hard to make sure you are happy with every aspect of your home. We are very happy with every aspect of our home. Thank you Dale!

My husband and I have built several homes in the Napa valley, but the two built by Dale James Construction were by far the best. Now that we have found Dale we would never use anyone else. He built a wonderful spec house for us that sold easily due to the quality of construction. Dale also built our forever dream home. That experience was such a joy due to Dale's knowledge, construction ideas, superb set of subs and a great supervisor. Having worked with other contractors, we found Dale to be so easy and fun to work with that it made what sometimes can be a real trying time one of the most enjoyable times of our lives. We respect Dale as a honest and good business man and now also consider him a very good friend. Dale is the best!!! He should give lessons on how to be a great contractor.

He always answered our questions and gave us options, always gave us enough time to make our decisions, kept the job moving forward without any delays, and was very knowledgeable of the costs of construction. He is well respected by everyone in the field. Dale is extremely competent, efficient, cost savvy and a wonderful guy to work with. He's the best.

I've worked as a design professional on a number of projects that Dale James Construction was the general contractor on and found them to be very accommodating to work with, great with clients, excellent sub-contractors and the best site superintendents around. I would recommend them unequivocally to anyone looking for an honest, quality general contractor.
