My husband had surgery in June and was sent home with oxygen. The surgeon advised him he would like him to get off the oxygen in about 30 days. It took him about 6 weeks. He went about 10 days off and came to the conclusion he would not use it again. So we called Lincare and advised we no longer needed the equipment. They were extremely rude and refused to pick up the equipment without a doctor's order. I absolutely understand them having a policy to quit the oxygen but do not approve of the way they go about it. I called the surgeon who originally prescribed the oxygen and he advised he would order the stop. Lincare called back and advised that the doctor required an overnight test to determine my husband's eligibilty to stop the oxygen. At this point he had been off it for about 3 weeks. My husband wore the device they had dropped off. He checked it several times during the night and it was registering 92-95. After Lincare picked up the device we were advised by Lincare that he registed 74. He had been tested at the hospital plus 2 different doctors and he was running 94-98. Lincare refused to pick up the equipment. The doctor was angry because he never ordered the test and he had advised Lincare he was taking my husband off the oxygen. Basically it took over a month to get Lincare to pick up the equipment. They have hard sell techniques to scare you into keeping the service. They lied about the doctor requesting the test. They were rude. The manager Amber called this morning, didn't identify herself or the company. She just started yelling at my mother-in-law. I would advise everyon to stay very far away from this Lincare. They will lie and cheat to keep charging your credit card. BEWARE
