I would absolutely never recommend anyone to do business with Michael’s Shoe Repair. With the experience I had there, I am absolutely shocked they are still in business. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect in my entire life, let alone in an establishment in which I was a paying customer. The owners’ tone of voice, belittling comments and complete lack of professionalism about how they had lost my shoes is an experience I will never forget. This situation could have been handled with professionalism and class, as the owner should have been apologetic for their mistake and carelessness with my property, instead I left the store feeling verbally attacked by the owner and without my shoes that I had entrusted in their care and paid for them to repair. I would highly recommend anyone in need of shoe repair to search for and commute to any shoe repair store in the area verses subjecting themselves to Michael’s Shoe Repair’s unprofessionalism.

As boot repairs go, this is one of those las standing types; given the number of shoe repair places that existed when we first moved to Muncie, it is nice to see this one still in business. As the owner of the Army Navy Surplus of Muncie and Head Seamster of Sow N Sews Custom Sewing N Repairs, I am particular of where and to whom I send folks for help or additional help. This shop has proven itself to me, to be a good source to do many a project I can't reach due to construction of the existing product and what needs to be done.



I have always been pleased to send folks here and none have ever complained when we talked after sending them there, or about the work, price, or service and I have sent a lot of folks their way so I can only think they are doing a great job. Another thing I like about them is they have always been real supportive of the community as a whole.
