McElwain Baptist Church believes that the doctrine is important to everything the church does. Based in Mountain Brook, Ala., it preaches the word of God and helps people reach out to each other and communities. The church s ministries include the Christian Academy, Child Development Center, music, recreation center and celebrate recovery. The McElwain Christian Academy helps children succeed academically in a Christian environment. McElwain s School for the Performing Arts is a weekly program providing instructions in the area of music and dance. McElwain Baptist Church s recreation/fitness center is open to the community and includes gym, game room, fitness center, various sports, activities and events.
