Great food and friendly service. Their pizza and salads are excellent. Joe's Pizza is a great addition to Mt Vernon because their pizza is different and better than the other options.

It would be nice if you had meal options for seniors and people that have had stomach surgery. It is a waste to order a dinner portion when u can only eat lunch portion. If that was changed my family would eat there a lot we have not been there I'm over a year, because of the way you sell your portions. Aldo when u have children its nice to eat at home. You can't order to go for a three children n two adults. So we go go to Fazolis or we go to Herein G . Management in Herrin is by far th . Best , you don't have to take the kids out on cold nights when they gave lots of homework. You can order the kids meals to go and we r very appreciative.When we leave the doctor in Marion ,we can call ahead, and they have our order hot n ready, and the kids get to have the pasta they want and we get to have the pizza and bread n salad we want, and come home n sit in the comfort of our home n relax. You can't do that at the Mt.Vernon, you can't order what the kids want to go they make you bring the kids out. Totally ridiculous.When this business was on main we ordered twice a week.Now we order once a year, maybe if we don't have kids. So sad the money this business is losing. They think they are gaining by not letting kids have there meal to go so that you pay adult price for there food. Ha, bad mistake, hard working families can make three times the pasta st home or go to fazolis.That's what my family n friends with children are doing.They will not get my money by try Bing to cheat people with children.

My son and I ate recently at Girolamo's Italian Restraurant I Mt. Vernon. I was very impressed with the food, decor, and atmosphere. The service was some of the best. I lived in Chicago and ate at some of the best places up there. Girolamo's is the bedgt place I have eaten at since leaving Chicago. I finally had a cannoli. I will say this I brought all 3 desserts one with me. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prices are well within range for what you get.
