I filled out an app to get on a waiting list as I have a 4lb Yorkie so needed an apartment for pets. Called a few months later as I was told to, he had lost my app altogether (not a professionally ran complex ran by some guy) he worked with me to get us into an apartment. During this there was a he said she said argument with him about a message I left with his daughter should have known then as he outright called me a liar. During the walk through he was really weird we already signed a lease he was pointing out that carpet looks nice right, right? Well within a week or two stains started showing up on the carpet that I couldn't explain I'd shampoo they'd be gone a week later they'd be back? Had black mold showing up around the windows and the place where the a/c would be plugged in, kept bringing it up, was told wash it with soap and water. He made it sound like it was my fault, kept saying no one else had that problem but found out a neighbor also had mold in his apartment. We kept being told our four year old was making too much noise in the apartment, no matter what we did they kept saying she was too loud, so my husband asked what his quiet hours were as we thought maybe we could put her to bed earlier his reply it's always quiet time. This got so ridiculous he started saying it was happening at 11 pm on weekdays, when we all got up for work at 4am for work and daycare, so we were definitely in bed? I had some discussion with the grounds keeper about how they had discovered an odor by the front door? Said it was definitely from my dog peeing on the door, they came to that conclusion because I had a male dog, the problem was we lived by the back door and it was less stairs so that is door so that's the door we always used, but I agreed I wouldn't let my dog pee on the door. We mentioned to them 3 months before the lease was up we might move, we would have moved sooner if it hadn't costed so much to break the lease, after that everytime we ran into the grounds keeper or the landlord we were harassed about leaving and the lease says 30 days notice not 90 and we even had letters left on our door, finally my husband gave the 30 days notice. Then the landlord tried to make it so he could walk people through our apartment whenever he wanted I was at this point on bedrest so we told him no. I got real sick ended up staying in Michigan with my family and a bunch of stuff happened we ended up having friends go get our stuff out the apartment to get out on time we were aware that we would be losing most of our security deposit, however he kept the deposit and sent us a $500 bill above that for "cleaning" and made claims that were untrue I requested an itemized bill, we were charge for ridiculous things like cleaning the outside of the 3rd floor apartment windows, upgrades he wanted to make to the apartment ect. In venting as I've never lost my deposit in past, I found 12 other people who had very similar things happen to them he rents houses, these apt and ones in Scranton, BEWARE! We found this off the Army Depot website.

I'd be careful, first he lost my application so never put me on the waiting list he has, we moved in had stains showing up on the carpet a week later i'd shampoo a week would go by they were back and we were charged for them, we had mold in our apartment as did the neighbor we were told just to wash it off that it was just our apartment and even insinuated it was our fault, we were harassed about our daughter as quiet time is all the time and it didn't matter what we did if we weren't home hours of night we were all in bed there were still complaints, my dog was accused of going to the bathroom on the front door causing an odor, we said we probably wouldn't sign another lease harassed for the next 3 months about when we were moving out, our landlord tried to say he could bring people into our apartment whenever he felt like it, lost our security deposit plus sent a $500 bill for things like washing the outside of our 3rd story windows, upgrades he wanted to make to the apartment anyway
