The Moorestown Police Department preserves human lives and property, protects public peace and the rights of citizens, prevents crime and disorder and enforces local, state and federal laws. The department has a crime prevention unit that maintains constant communication with the community through surveys, public forums, radio and other service groups. It operates the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), which deals with high-risk and dangerous situations, including barricaded persons, high-risk warrant arrests, explosive devices and heavily armed criminals.
