We had our wedding at Monterey Dance in October of 2015, and we were incredibly disappointed with our experience. Working with Monterey Dance was the hardest part of our whole wedding.

The owner, Michell, first refused to honor a groupon we purchased from her company, and only after groupon got involved did she give us a fraction of the value. We agreed to give up the value of our dance lessons if she would let us drop off a few things the day of our ceremony, but instead she turned away my father holding all our centerpieces, at the front door, and locked him out! Our flowers had to wilt in the car for hours because of her, and needless to say we never got any lessons. The hall itself is beautiful, but it was SO hot during the reception that everyone was retreating outside to the street. We actually ended early because it was unbearably hot, and Michell was pulling tablecloths off tables and trying to shoo us out even before our last dance. And you can forget about getting your security deposit back, she charged us for every tiny thing she found.

I could not have been more disappointed with how Michell treated us and our family on our wedding day. I wish we had picked someplace better.
