Death industry corporate ripoff company

Over the years, my sister had my father and mother buried at the cemetary. And my sister's daughter died about 8 years ago and was buried there. I would have thought they wanted to make money and be loyal to a family who gave them business for many years. No way!



Now, my sister died 12/10 and she wanted to have her ashes in an urn buried with her daughter. Well, the Houston-based SCI corporate sales rep said we had to pay an additional $2500.00 just to add her ashes to a plot we had already purchased years ago. And that doesn't include the labor, the "urn casket", the head stone, etc. It would have cost over $4000.00 just to pay Turner and Stevens, and that didnt' include the head stone. One big rip-off by a totally sleazy company.



Instead, I used Accord Cremation and Burial Service in Brea, Ca. They are human, much more cost effective, and don't try to rip off bereaving relatives just to make their shareholders richer.
