For the area well known for human trafficing, homelessness & definate use of illegal/deadly drug use, the hotel manager is a certified ccw holder, authorized by the Police Dept City of Modesto to carry such firearm on premises, also carries a tazer gun & does use if need arrise. Its for sure not very glamorous but IS one of the safest hotel bugdet priced hotels on the McHenry Blvd strip. They do everything they can to aliviate drug dealers, prostitutes & the like by have a number of security cameras about, as well as a curfew 10pm-8am no outside visitors permitted.

Overall, great people including 90% of the guests who take up residency here.

If you dont mind a little riff raff watching you so they kno what u look like in the case of emergency, its nicer than most, trust me. My overall vote- 7.5

I recently stayed at the Tiki Lodge and was very disappointed. Since,I was there during my pregnancy; I assumed they would make accommodations. But they only did the opposite!!! Not only did they not accommodate to my need, I was given a room with bugs of all sorts! And, refused a better room. There's no room service (housekeeping), property is overflowing with drug addicts!!! (Including staff), employees are very rude and lack any customer service knowledge once so ever... To sum it up, it's the worst place to ever go overnight and overall! Don't believe it, just try it.
