This was our first time using Stanton Optical. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The selection of frames was excellent and the prices were great. There was an issue after I left with the glasses I bought and I made a call and they took care of the issue immediately. Great place to get all your optical needs taken care of.

The people are nice, amazing amount of frames to pick from. The only thing is that they over book for the eye exams. If I have an appointment I don't want to wait for 45 minutes to an hour. Hopefully they are going to fix that.

I purchased two pair of glasses and one came back four weeks later with the wrong perscription and the other pair I purchased is still missing, I also gave them my husbands glasses to add a non reflective glare and they have lost those pair. I need a refund and a pair of glasses they lost replaced. I have spoke to 5 people that work there and they keep giving me people to talk to. A total circle of bull. Messages have been left for managers and MIT in charge and still no return. I have corporate and no return message. They won't even answer their phone they tell you to leave a message and don't call back. Totally a SCAM Company.

I went into Stanton Optical for the 2 for $99 on no line bifocals special that was advertised on TV because I wanted larger lenses for my spare pair of glasses. When I walked in I gave my prescription to the girl behind the counter. She gave me a tray to hold the selected frames I chose from the racks. I asked her about the 2 for $99, and she said that was only for $49 frames. When I asked her where those were, she said they were mixed in with all the other frames, After 45 minutes of selecting I found no frames for $49. The minimum priced ones I found were mostly around $69, and I found a pair for $25. After my selections were made, I was told to go and sit at a table, and someone would come and help me. When the girl came, she told me right away I didn't qualify for the 2 for $99 special because I had too much correction in my prescription. They could not have told me this when I first walked in! When she did the calculations, she said it was going to cost $335 for 2 pairs of glasses, but she was going to give me a deal and give me 2 pairs for $301. She said that was a great deal because it's cheaper than Wal Mart. So I asked her for a better deal by knocking another $50 off. She said she couldn't do that. I walked away from Stanton Optical with no glasses,

Do not shop or support Stanton Optical in Modesto unless you like getting horrible service. I have experienced this companies lack of customer service on more than one occasion. The first time I went to Stanton optical in 2008 I had a wonderful experience. This experience made me want to come back. The second time I went to Stanton Optical, I notice that all new people were working there and the nightmare started. My glasses were over a month late. I came by on two separate occasions to try to get my glasses as dictated by the promise date they had provided for me. I received no phone call tell me about the delay. When I did receive my glasses they mixed up my order with someone else. I was given glasses that were not even close to the ones that I picked out. To make matters worse they were unable to locate my glasses. I was force to pick out a different pair that I did not like as much as the ones that I had before because they did not have any more in stock. When I finally received my glass two months had passed since my initial appointment. Despite my previous experience I recently went back to Stanton Optical. I was hoping they would have fixed their issues, that tainted my previous visit, I was hoping for an experience similar to my first visit in 2008. I talked to the store manager and told him of my previous experience and he promised me that they would get it right this time, this was far from the truth. I came the day after they were promised for pick up. I received not phone call tell me that they needed more time. When I went in to Stanton I they informed me that my glasses would take an additional three days from the time they promised. I have worked retail before. I know that things do not always work out the way that they were intended. Most of this experience could have been solved by simply picking up the phone and telling me. Instead they took precious time away from me for their due to lack of organization and the their complete disregard to their customers. I was a loyal customer who had referred several people, but now will not step foot in Stanton Optical ever again. I am extremely dissatisfied. I hope that others will heed my warning and take their business to other competitors that know how to treat their customers.

No glasses!!!

I paid OVER $500 for my glasses, they were promised on a certain date, went to pick them up and they won't be in for another week...maybe? It doesn't seem like anybody knows where my glasses are...they've really seem to have gone downhill, seriously doubt that I will be coming back. I even contacted the main office and I NEVER heard back from them. DON'T GO HERE!!!

I came here after seeing the prices at some of the other local optical places. Their exams are all about the same price, but the glasses themselves - now, there's a wake-up call! The prices at Stanton Optical are much more reasonable than I found at most national places, and the people here have always been friendly and able to squeeze me in when I need my glasses fixed or if my son breaks his glasses (which, unfortunately, happens often enough). It takes the usual week or so for the new glasses to arrive, but that's true of everywhere. For a good value on your glasses, this is the only place to go.

Scam Alert!!

Well, the Optometrist got my prescription wrong the first time. Not much of a selection in quality frames didn't see Luxotica or anything made in Italy, just some frames priced around $169 from China. I purchased two frames because the deal was buy one get one free. The next weekend I came in and picked up my regular farsighted frames. When I put them on it was like looking through a goldfish bowl. They said that my eyes would need to get used to them. Three days passed and I had a bad headache and continued to use my old pair for a week. The sunglasses that I purchased were a bigger farce! I was in there twice to pick them up, but they weren't done the first time or the second time. I was there to pick them up even after I called in to find if they were done and they weren't! They sent me back to a different Optometrist to get my prescription checked. The optometrist checked my old pair and said my prescription stayed the same. I wanted another pair of frames just like my sunglasses for my regular eyewear but they couldn't order them for me, so I returned my regular frames that I purchased with the wrong prescription, but wanted to see what they could do for my sunglasses because I liked the frames. I took my printed out corrected lens prescription and went to Lens crafters, where I picked up a pair of Luxotica frames for $129 and they were done with lenses in about 50 minutes. I have had no problems with the competitor's glasses; I was thinking I should have gone to Lens Crafters first because it was quite painless.

Then another week passed and I came in to pick up my sunglasses. I wore these frames home; in 40 minutes I had eyestrain. Then next day I went back in and demanded a full refund. They said that my check would be in the mail. I went to Lens Crafters and bought a pair of genuine Ray-Bans for about the same price as Stanton's cheaply made eyewear. They will be in 10 days or so because Ray-Bans is doing the lenses, wow in less time than it took Stanton to mess up all my orders, but done right!

My conclusion to Stanton Optical is! Stanton is a good place to go if you want cheaply made frames at whorehouse prices and want unorganized controlling psychopathic like people to waist a whole lot of your time! They can't seem to warranty your eyewear because they can't reorder your frames.
