A: Dex Mobile for BlackBerry® organizes enhanced local business and community listings by community. GPS detects where you are and gives you nearby businesses. To search another neighborhood, change the location or conduct a standard search. Share business listings, events, or contact information with other through email, Facebook, or Twitter. Search results for businesses include contact and location information, business description, reviews, coupons (if available), and website and map links. Customize the application by creating favorites lists of businesses, people, and locations you use the most.

A: The Dex Mobile browser was developed for users who have a mobile device that does not support the Dex App. Both versions provide the same dexknows.com listing information, but because the Dex App is downloaded onto your mobile device, it offers more features such as:

Q: What if my phone is not on the compatible phone list?
A: If your mobile device is not currently compatible with the Dex App, please use the Dex Mobile browser version at m.dexknows.com.
Q: Why does the App run slowly on my phone?
A: Many things can affect the speed of the Dex App. The power of your mobile network and the amount of memory you have on your phone are primary factors.
Q: What do I do if the Dex App will not install on my phone?
A: If your mobile device does not support the Dex App, you will receive an error message when you try to install it. If your mobile device does support the App and you still are unable to install it successfully, please check your Internet settings or contact the customer service team for your mobile service.
Q: Why am I prompted to “allow network access”?
A: The “allow network access” prompt appears each time an application attempts to connect to the network. To avoid this message in the future, your phone may have "application access" options for you to adjust.
Q: Why do I get an error message when I use the Dex App?
A: Most errors are caused by poor network reception. Please try to use the Dex App at a later time. If the message continues to appear, we recommend that you reinstall the App.
Q: How do I remove the Dex App from my phone?
A: To remove the Dex App from your phone, simply delete it from the “Applications” area on your phone. Please see your phone’s operating instructions for more information.
Q: Is Dex Mobile available in other languages?
A: At this time, Dex Mobile is only available in English.
