She kept following me around, trying to "help" me find something specific, when I only wanted to browse, and said so from the start. Then she got annoyed, said "well, I just don't know how to communicate with you." I didn't come to communicate, I came to spend some quiet time looking at antiques, maybe spend some money, but her bizarre pushiness pushed me right out!

To:My customers and friends, I am proud to say that this is a respectable business which was established in 1984 by Mr and Mrs Ted Flowers, who owned Cob Web Antiques for many years. This business was named The Red Barn Antiques Mall. I rented space here several times since then. I purchased this business from Ken Baggette in 2003 and changed the name to Mary Parker Antiques. Ken also started out here in 1984 and purchased the business from the Flowers in 1990. I appreciate all of the nice people that we have bought merchandise from for all of these years. I also am very thankful for all of my customers and for the fact that many of you have become my friends. Thanks for all the encouraging comments and for reminding me of things that you have bought --and are still enjoying! I have always had a passion for antiques and I love this business. Looking forward to seeing you in the store, With best regards, Mary Parker

Mary Parker Admits RECEIVING, POSSESSION & SELLING STOLEN PROPERTY AGAIN

Upon arrival at Mary Parker Antiques on 1/19/2013, I informed Mary Parker, the owner, that my home had been vandalized, & I was visiting Antique Loop Area shops w hopes to locate & retrieve my priceless & sentimental property that was stolen from it. Ms. Parker said that she was interested in hearing details. I gave detailed descriptions of numerous missing valuables: Victorian Chairs & other ANTIQUES- bedroom furniture; Chairs & a Rocker; Victorian, Accent Tables- Lyre Harp & one handcrafted by my grandfather; Art Deco & Floor lamps; Barley Twist Shaving Stand; Lane Cedar Chest; Piano Stools; Radio; Sewing Machine w Bench & Frame; Clocks- grandfather, wall & tabletop; vases; bowls & pitchers; Figurines- porcelain, ethnic- Indian, African, Scandinavian and brass; Mirrors & Vanity Mirror Frames; Wall Art- handcrafted by my grandfather; Appliances & house wares; Crystal, silver & flatware and cutlery- some monogrammed; typewriter; Christmas Décor; Hats, accessories & luggage. We looked at dated images in my digital camera of some of my property as it was arranged in my home. Ms. Parker said that she recognized & had bought much of the furniture & figurines that she saw in my camera from criminals that she can identify in a Line-Up. She admitted that "THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT SHE PURCHASED STOLEN PROPERTY", has lost money because she had to give it back to the owner on several occasions. She claimed that "she does not want illegal possession of anything & is embarrassed that she bought & has this much stolen property in her possession that she has to return to me".Ms. Parker directed me to the areas in her shop where MY pieces are displayed "FOR SALE". She welcomed me to walk through her shop to see if I could find any more of my valuables. She even informed me that she bought some hats, asked if my mother made hats & I said "yes she did". She also presented a bag of adornments, that my mother used to decorate with, that were behind her counter. Some of the vintage hats in her possession, were given to me by my grandmother, & were in my Lane Cedar Chest. Ms. Parker did not want me to take pictures of MY PROPERTY. She said that she paid a lot of money for my property & asked me if any of my property has sentimental value. Ms. Parker suggested that "if I have any compassion for her, that I will allow her to keep some of my property so that she will not be completely out of all of the money that she spent to buy it". Mary Parker became anxious & agitated when I said that I needed to call the Mobile Police Dept., to file a report, but eventually allowed me to use her phone. She admitted to the responding Officers that she bought some of my property from one of the criminals that she provided positive information on. She asked the responding officers not to come to remove my property from her shop during business hours, because she does not want her customers to know that she has "stolen property" in her possession. They ordered Ms. Parker not to sell my property, cooperate fully, locate the Pawn/ Cards on the other criminals that she received my property from for submission to the Mobile Police Department, reminded her that she is in POSSESSION of STOLEN PROPERTY and assured her that they would not barge in on her store when they came to remove my property. Ms. Parker has not cooperated with the orders of the Mobile Police Dept.Ms. Parker is SELLING STOLEN PROPERTY to customers who are now IN POSSESSION of STOLEN PROPERTY. Residents and Visitors Are Subject to Victimization Just As I Am. Just Think About It. Is It O.K. With You to Buy Stolen Property? Will you patronize a business when you know the owner collaborates with criminals, buy stolen goods and resale it? Mary Parker is hiding behind a Business License SELLING STOLEN PROPERTY.
