I purchased boards for multiple projects from Siwek's always find myself impressed with the quality and price on pieces other places are unable to locate for me. Personally I have always loved the service but you better have a clue about what you are doing and what you want before you arrive because there will be no hand holding.

Siwek Lumber has been a great asset to our company. They have been supporting our company since we opend our doors 8yrs ago. There knowledge, selection, and pricing have helped us grow our business to what is today. We would reccomend Siwek Lumber to any homeowner or contractor.

The people at Siweks are smart and friendly.They have items that arent available at other stores. GO There.

From crating lumber to 2x4"s to OSB to "cut to size" sheetrock, Stan and Mike have taken great care of us.You will be hard pressed to find a more reputable supplier.

For over 15 yrs I have found every type of bldg material imaginable. Siwek's have done millwork,delivery,and helped me load tons of top notch,hard to find deals on doors,windows,ceramic,rmax,siding,wood floor glue,custom trim and cabinet doors,framing dbl doors.I've even bought lawn tractor seats and antique garden tools there.A true classic family business that wants to help you find what you need and always at a fair price! Friendly service you won't find at Menards,Depot,or Lowes.

My husband & I own a 1950 home. We have slowly renovated almost every room over the past 15 years. We started trying to find trim replacement at Home Depot and Menards, but found their selection was limited...One day while on the computer I discovered a sight called "Jody Enteprises"...which got me curious!?, as that is my name.... to further learn it was Siwek Lumber...We went to Marshall location in Mpls. to see what they offered...It has been wonderful!! We find many items to fit our style and desire.....thicker trim, nice kits to frame interior doorways, 6 panels doors to replace our old worn doors...The prices are about 1/2 off what we would have paid at Home Depot or Menards....We think 1st to look at Siwek lumber to get our wood needs

good lumber, better then i bought a the depot, i still like the depot but siweks is a good local store. got to keep checking in for whats available might find a quality bargain priced item.

Every time I go to Siwik's I find a deal! French Doors, Windows, Closet Doors, Hardwood Flooring, or just the right trim. All for very good prices. I don't want a big box retail salesperson asking every three minutes can I help you and then can't. No one bugs me as I pick through their mostly exceptional quality millwork. If I have a question I will have to find someone but that’s alright with me. Just looking at what they have often gives me new ideas. I enjoy every visit.

Siwek is one of those old school hardware stores. You know the kind, the grumpy old guy at the counter smokes, some of the stock is dusty and lord knows the place could use someone to organize their inventory. Before the big box stores nearly killed them all off, most hardware stores looked like this.Siwek is a Do It Best franchise (doitbest.com). They participate in the Ship To Store free shipping option.The wood selection is very good and competitively priced. They have wood that HD only wishes they could carry. And the quality is very good too.I was in Siwek the other day to buy some 1X6 planks to make some drawers for my garage workbench. I found a cut off pile of nearly flawless fir in 3 and 4 foot pieces for $3 each. I snapped up 10 of them and I am going back soon to grab more.If you can get over their less than stellar customer service and can navigate the lack of organization, check Siwek out for yourself.

Very rude staff. I have given them multiple chances to prove me wrong, but they have been rude every single time I have been there. It is so bad that I could not even believe I was in a business. I don't understand how this place ever gets business.

i am a carpenter contractor and have been going there for the odd ball stuff that no one else can seem to find. The service i get is always friendly and fast. They usually find the stuff no one else can get and that right there makes them extremely helpful. So take it easy on them.

This is an old school lumber yard place. You go in and ask for s4s 6 quarter doug fit beam and they'll probably have one around. It's a little bit like the ReUse center, but they also have new stuff and you can order stuff as well. They have a millwork shop so they can make something for you as well.I go for their oddball supply of base and casing - good prices, and you can wander around and sure, they're not out to make friends with you, they're there to sell you wood. And they do a good job of it.

This lumber yard is kinda fun to visit. They have a bunch of old doors. But. They are crabby and rude, have been for 30 years. What's their problem?

I was looking for S2S service-tempered hardboard (marked with 2 red stripes). They don't carry the product and don't know of any one that does.
