Dr. Smith is a native Minnesotan, growing up in the Minnetonka area. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1984 with his undergraduate degree in Zoology, and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1988 with his Optometric Degree. He lives in Plymouth with his wife, 2 teenaged children, & their German Shepherd mix named Tess.
