The Park and Recreation Department issues permits for various parks and aquatic facilities. It is one of the departments of Village of Brown Deer, Wis., and provides recreational activities. The department is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of various parks of the village, such as Fairy Chasm Park and Village Park. The Village Park is a 7-acre park that comprises shelter and grill areas, volleyball courts and children s playgrounds. Additionally, the department issues identity and family membership cards for local residents. The Park and Recreation Department also organizes summer programs for children and families that include birthday parties and holiday celebrations. It additionally issues permits for the organization of soccer and baseball instruction classes and tournaments held in the Fairy Chasm Park.
