As part of eastern Wisconsin’s only adult Level I Trauma Center, we regularly treat the most severe hand and upper extremity injuries that come through our emergency department. Whatever the cause or concern, however, patients with hand and arm conditions of all kinds benefit from our expertise.

Hand and upper extremity surgeons and staff care for patients of all ages and walks of life. We care for patients with challenging conditions, as well as treating osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, overuse injuries (cumulative trauma) such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, trigger finger, fractures and sports injuries. We are one of the few programs in the Midwest to offer specialty resources for conditions present at birth (congenital conditions), including brachial plexus injury and Sprengel’s deformity.

Plastic and reconstructive surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons specialize in procedures using intricate microvascular surgery that is essential for repairs. Our physicians are board-certified and fellowship-trained in specialties including hand surgery, upper extremity surgery, microsurgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. A high percentage of our physicians were nominated by their peers as the Best Doctors in America®. They work with occupational therapists, rehabilitation psychologists and other professionals to provide treatment options and work toward the best possible outcome for each patient.
