They may Love me but I Hate them

I took my computer to replace a damaged hard drive. They insisted I leave it with them so they can "check for any additional problems". I don't hear back for over a week, then when we did make contact they told me there were several damaged parts and I should invest in a new computer. I tell them if I wanted another computer I'd buy used from a private seller because it's cheaper, however I was told they could retrieve all the lost information on my hard drive and put it on the new computer if I just went with them which to me was a convenience factor worth paying a little extra for. They also sold me on the idea that I'd be getting a deal because they could take the parts of my old computer that did work and give trade in value. It took nearly a month from when I took the computer in to the day I got my new one, and once I wrote the check, I always had to be the one to call them, not the other way around. After being assured with 99.9 percent certainty they could retrieve the data off the hard drive and 6 weeks of waiting I called them out on all of this. The tech that I talked to gave me a bunch of industry lingo and told me he'd order some new hardware from out of state that could help get my hard drive working right again, and if not he'd call me the next week with an update whether or not it worked out. It's been 2 months and I haven't heard a word from them since. Also 3 weeks after I brought the computer home I got a message telling me my copy of Windows 7 may be counterfiet. It turned out that I had to call up the company and self activate it (which they never mentioned). Seems to me that's something they'd do for you seeing how I bought new computer from them. As I see it, I spent a month of my time and 200 bucks on a warranty I wasn't all that crazy about in the first place. Go figure!

So Great, I LOVE PC Laptops

these guys were awesome! they totally helped me with my computer and cell phone stuff and spent as much time as we needed to without complaining. they were really helpful and showed me exactly what to do so I could do it myself as well. Absolutley go to the guys at PC LAPTOPS. best utah computer store

PC Laptops has the best techs in the industry.

IMO PC Laptops has the best techs in the industry. I have been a customer since 2005 and appreciate the time taken to get me up and running fast when I have a meltdown. The warranty is priceless. I won’t go anywhere else. Thanks guys! Christy

Superior

This is one Utah company that enjoy's going above an beyond for it's customers. The entire staff of the Layton store are fill with amazing computer specialist. If it has issues they resolve them, if it's broke they fix it, and if they can't solve or resolve a problem the company CEO WILL solve it with 110% satisfaction!

Only care about selling not repairing

I had read the reviews on PC Laptops so I thought it would be a good place to go to get my laptop repaired. The issue was not major. When I called them they said that bring it down and that they would look at it right then. I was at work so my husband took it for me. Instead of looking at it and telling him a dollar amount to repair they asked him to leave it and said they would call the next day. They told him they might have some old parts there to fix it. After not hearing anything for a week, I called them and the tech said he could see from the notes they had not called us and did not know why. He said it would be 150 to 200 to fix and then proceeded to try to sell me a new one. That phone call ended with me feeling like they did not care at all about fixing my problem and their whole goal was to sell a computer. I did not have them repair and they charged me to pick it up without telling me that up front. Not recommended for repairs.

Fast Professional Service

Went in to have a case-fan replaced and an additional one installed. They blew dust out of the case, evaluated the power supply fan, CPU fan (both fine). They replace the one case-fan (even asked if i wanted to keep it). Installed the additional fan. All within 20 minutes.

The Help I received was great!

I just want to say that I got the best help from Ben Bigelow when I was having problems getting my Mom's Lap Top hooked up to my computer printer. Ben walked me through getting it done and being very patient with me who has very little knowledge of computers. Ben went above and beyond his job! Thank you Ben.

Whole home makeover

I found the sales staff at PC Laptops to be very helpful, after multiple visits without purchasing anything. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if the price difference could possibly be worth it. A "similar" machine at Best Buy seemed like the cheaper option. However after years of buying those machines I ultimately decided to give PC Laptops a try. Amazed is the word for it, I found the staff to be extremely thorough. Refusing to give me my new machine because one of their tests performed a few percentage points below normal. I had to wait an extra day, but so what I ended up with this amazing machine. I am no ordinary user, I have worked in this field for a very long time. PC Laptops support, focus on quality, and absolute determination to have the best PC's on the planet are what make them worth every penny. I recently purchased a laptop for my wife and a second machine to run my Media Center. I wouldn't buy from anyone else at this point.

Real Deal

Having seen some posters on some of the review sites for PC Laptops making statements that the positive posters are PC Laptop employees. I am here to State for a fact I am not an employee of PC Laptops. I am just one happy customer.Recently I went to PC laptops to price a new computer as mine was obsolete. I found the desk top that was more than I need which was exactly what I wanted. I was given a verbal quote and came back when my finances permitted. Upon my return I was told they were not going to be able to provide what was given in the original quote. I found out later that it was due to upgrades to each computer. Frustrated, I sent an email to Dan, the owner of PC Laptops, and the next day I was contacted with information of when to pick up my new computer…. It was MORE than originally quoted for the same price. Not only did Dan honor a VERBAL quote, but he more than exceeded my expectations. I absolutely love my new computer and I would refer anyone in the market to PC Laptops

Outstanding quality and customer service at PC Laptops

I bought a laptop at the PC laptops in Layton Utah over 4 years ago while stationed at Hill AFB as an Air Force member. I've had not one glitch since...amazing for a laptop. Addtionally, when I've had questions or concerns, I've been able to call the store and get immediate tech support. As a military member that moves frequently, we're no longer geographically located near a store. Despite that, I will only purchase a computer from these guys in the future. Their superior customer service, high quality products, and willingness to help make them the only choice. It takes a lot for me to develop brand loyalty, but I've done just that with PC Laptops.

I love PC Laptops

With excellent service and a very knowledgable staff i highly recomend PC laptops. My old hard drive was installed in a caddy and well explained on what i needed to do and where to find my imformation. from my old dead laptop i saved all my pictures and music that was saved on it. thank you Dan the laptop man you guys rock.

I would go there again in a heartbeat!

We took our laptop in for a minor repair. It was minor for them, but a little more major for us, since it required taking apart a laptop. They fixed it in less than 1/2 an hour and didn't charge us a dime. Wonderful place, nice people, and we will definitely be back.

Superior Service

Today I took my son's laptop into the Layton PC Laptop store. I was so impressed with the service I received. Mr Jason Knutti greeted me as I entered the store, listened to my problem and installed the keyboard on my laptop while I waited. He even waived the service fee!! I will definately be a repeat customer!

Service after the sale

We bought a desktop system for our small business 2 years ago. Recently we had an issue with it running slow and acting funny. We took it to PC Laptops and they cleaned up our system for NO Charge. They were very friendly and said that if it didn't work right they may have to replace the hard drive.... At NO charge! Lifetime guarantee on parts and labor is true.

pc laptops is the place to go

their staff was right there when you walked in. you could see people getting helped right there. my laptop was running really slow so i brought my laptop in and they gave me a free virus check up. they fixed it right there! it was awesome. they answered all my questions right there and were happy to do so, even though i didnt buy anything. these are the people you want to go to for any computer need!

their people helped me with every question i had and answered it perfectly. they were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. there were people helping other right there. i brought in my laptop, and got a free virus scan and i didnt even get it from pc laptops. if you have any laptop or computer problem or question, this is the place to go!

MY AWESOME COMPUTER STORES!!!!‎ - ‎ - I have a group of people I call my "heroes"! PC laptops in West Jordan is AWESOME!!!! I have had my laptop since Jan 2008. What a wonderful experience I have had with them. They have always treated me so kindly, very friendly and smart! I had to take my laptop into them a few times to get things fixed , my laptop was fixed in a short ammount of time. They (Shaun) would always address my questions with great concern. Fixing the problem is what they do. If Shaun did not know the answer to my question he would find someone who would. I love my PC laptop and the warranty is EXCELLENT!!!! Then I moved away from my hero employees at PC laptops......but I knew I could go to the Layton PC Laptop store. A few months ago I had a problem with my power cord, so I went to the Layton PC store walked in and there was one of my fav hero employees. Turns out he is the manager....YEA FOR ME!!!HE quickly fixed my problem and I was happy once again!!!! I LOVE MY

80 year old Laptop

I have an 8 year old PC laptop (in computer years it is 80) This computer has been the only computer that I have needed in that time. PC Laptops has done everything they can to keep my Laptop updated and running strong. And it still runs strong even after all the "oops" that I did to it when I was learning how to operate it. The PC Laptop guys never made me feel like a clown for pushing the wrong button. The service and equipment can not be beat!!!

They Rock!

I own a "Totally Awesome" computer but PC Laptops treated me like I had bought my computer at their store. I had malware issues but could not be without my computer for long because of some pending insurance issues. Dan assured me they would scan my computer fast and take good care of me. Not only did he deliver, but his staff were friendly and patient. They took the time to explain what was wrong, how they fixed it, and how I could prevent it from happening again in the future. What other company do you know of that would accept another businesses lifetime warranty? These guys have heart, and just like the commercial says "they love you!" I won't go anywhere else for future repairs and purchases.
