Frank Shen graduated from Groungzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is one of the five earliest and largest Universities of T.C.M. in Mainland China. With his outstanding scores, he was the top graduate student who was hired by the University as a teacher. Frank worked in the school as an assitant professor and in the outpatient department as a medical doctor from 1984 to 1986. He gained knowledge and experience from other senior professors and doctors during this time. Frank Shen came to the U.S.A. as a foreign student in 1986. He studied English at Columbia University in New York City, he obtained his A.A. degree in Public Health at a city college in San Francisco, and he went into the Masters Program for Clinical Science at California State University San Francisco. With his growth in English communication and his becoming more familiar with American culture, Frank Shen opened his first acupuncture clinic in San Francisco in 1991.
