Burkwood S&RC is a family oriented, member-owned recreation association serving the communities in Hanover County in Virginia. It offers swimming and tennis facilities, a fitness center and programs to its members and guests. The facility includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts, indoor cycling and complete weight room with personal trainers. Burkwood S&RC has a 4,000-square-foot fitness area with cardiovascular equipment, free weights, cycling and locker rooms, and shower and sauna facilities. It also has an aerobics studio with floating wood floor and ballet bars, a youth activities room and lounge and snack bar area. It offers a wide variety of aerobic, yoga, pilates and t'ai chi programs. Its clubhouse provides accommodations for meetings, private parties, receptions and club socials. The association offers various memberships, such as family, single, senior couples and legacy memberships. Burkwood S&RC is located in Mechanicsville, Va.
