I have been buying my fish at the Animal House for the last 5 years and they have done great. I do loose a fish now and then but the folks are always willing to help me. I am a little confused by their return polocy on fish though. I am told that if a fish dies they request a water sample to be tested. I brought in water and it tested fine so they replaced the fish without question. They say that 9 times out of 10 it is a problem with the water and knowing the water quality around meadville I understand why. There is one person who works there that has a vast knowledge of fresh and saltwater aquariums. Try to seek this guy out. They also sell birds and though their bird selection can be sparse at times it is because they don't buy birds from anyone. They hatch and hand raise them right there. I have watched them hand feeding birds a few times myself. They also breed their own rodents (except mice and feeder rats), I asked them why and they said they became too attached when they tried and they couldn't sell them as feeders. Their prices arn't too bad when you consider what your paying for. They can't compete with WalMart but what small business can. If you check them out though you will find they don't carry alot of the junk WalMart carries.
