McHenry West High School, located in Mchenry, Ill., is a secondary school that provides college preparatory educational programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school is a part of the McHenry High School District 156. It provides courses in a wide range of subjects, such as art, English, foreign languages and math. In addition to it the school provides courses in health, physical education, and family and consumer science. The school also offers a preschool program known as the 123 Learning Land. It additionally offers various extracurricular activities, such as drama, choir, orchestra and music. The athletic programs offered by the school include basketball, swimming, wrestling, bowling, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, track, water polo, badminton, soccer and softball. It also provides media centers, transportation and guidance and counseling services.
