First, let me say that I wouldn't give this place even one star, but I had to for the review. NEGATIVE STARS!!!

The owner, Ms. Beverly Williamson, sat in the waiting area very often and gossiped about every child and parent who walked through the doors of the studio. She referred to a teacher as "slow" and said she had a "learning disability" when Ms. Williamson would change the choreography and then forget she'd done so. That teacher was a beautiful dancer, a patient teacher, and a precious person. Ms. Williamson said her receptionist was inept (this is a kind summary of numerous nasty rants about the receptionist) and that she wanted to fire her but couldn't because she was hired as a favor to a student's parents. The receptionist did the best she could with little to no training, information, and tools necessary for doing her job. She was also a precious person who consoled many children after Ms. Williamson had lashed out at them. Ms. Williamson promised a "professional" production of The Nutcracker with professional dancers from Atlanta Ballet as the principals. This cost each child $125 plus large donations from parents and grandparents. Instead, there were no sets, few props, sweats suits and inappropriate Salvation Army finds, and NO PROFESSIONAL DANCERS. Hmm, where, oh, where did all of the money go? Many children fled this studio after The Nutcracker fiasco - she actually hit a child - and many of parents have gotten in touch with each other and have a "support group" of sorts. Many of the children won't dance anymore - mine is one of those children. Ms. Williamson does not care about children as she claims. If she did she would've refunded my money after her treatment of my little dancers. I told her that I couldn't afford to pay another school after investing so much in her studio (with no contract). Her response was I don't care. That from a self-proclaimed "Christian" woman who lives to bring dance to children. All she brought was devastation to my children.

In short, do not enroll your child here. Ms. Williamson is a spiteful woman resting on someone else's 20 year old laurels to ensnare ignorant parents (like me) to invest in her studio where they can learn little more than the basics. If you and your child are serious about dance, invest your time, money, and energy in a studio worth it. I suggest Atlanta Festival Ballet or Gift of Dance. Good luck and may God be with you if you enroll your child at Ballet Arts.
