It's nice enough to visit for the decor alone.



When the prices aren't shown for an item on the menu though - DO NOT ORDER IT! The desserts are apparently $5 or so per sliver they serve you & the pizza... another couple ordered that & were shocked at their prices!



OUR experience, besides the over priced desserts, was that we were served burnt french toast & when we asked about it, the waitress said 'that how we serve it as that's how the cook makes it' and then 'if you want it refired, we have to charge you for both orders'. We did NOT make the mistake, they did! And they are going to charge us???



20 minutes after we ate the burnt offerings, our neice came in & requested the french toast but added, 'and I don't want it burnt' - shortly after that the waitress came over & made a point of scratching off french toast part of our breakfast ONLY, not the stuff that came with it (was fine by us, but to make a huge point of it???).



The coffee was prepackaged & a bit weak. She was the ONLY waitress on duty for the Saturday morning breakfast rush, someone else came in around 10am. She was a bit short at times with people as she was overworked.



Will never go back, and as it's the nearest place to eat to the Happy Days Hotel, we won't be returning there because we want food near by & will be doing business in McAlester for the next month or so. Definitely deterring our friends & employees from eating there as well.

Good old fashioned eating and good service. Nice place to meet with friends
