Description: The program is designed to give the student a fundamental knowledge of audio as it applies to the process of recording, mixing and editing music and spoken word and the reinforcement of sound in live productions. Objective: Upon successful completion, the student will have the entry-level skills to identify basic electronic signal flow as it applies to audio equipment and skills for: * Selection and Use of Microphones * Operation of Microphone Mixers, Recording and Sound Reinforcement Mixers an Audio/Visual Signal Routers * Operating Signal Processing Devices * Operating Analog and Digital Audio Recorders * Operating Computer Based Recording Systems * Basic Synthesizer Interface and Operation
