The Records Division is a part of the Matthews Police Department, which is a full-service law enforcement agency that strives to maintain a peaceful and safe environment and protects residents lives and properties. The division processes collision, traffic, criminal incident and arrest report. It also maintains vehicle collision reports and is responsible for the processing, security and release of found and seized property. The Matthews Police Department offers a range of criminal investigation and animal control division. In addition, the department operates a patrol and support services divisions. The Matthews Police Department maintains a staff of more than 70 full-time employees.
