I have felt compelled to give my review of Planet Ballroom in Matthews, NC to make sure everyone is aware of what they are signing when they sign the Planet Ballroom contract. My relationship with Planet Ballroom spanned over a year and a half. It started off a wonderful experience by signing up to secretly practice and learn a dance with my daughter for her upcoming wedding. The staff was always friendly and it was one of the most memorable and rewarding times of my life to have my twenty-six year old daughter in my arms for one hour a week as we learned this dance. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and always pleasant to work with. Before my daughter's wedding I had mentioned that I would like to continue the dance lessons with my wife after my daughter's wedding. I also explained that my wife, an RN, was experiencing back problems and that she may not be able to take all these lessons as a result of her back issues. I felt pressured to sign the contract and was verbally assured that if her back problems were an issue that everything would be alright. My wife and I started our lessons, and unfortunately from the first lesson on, my wife's back was in pain which severely limited our dancing. After one month into the contract period with my wife's back troubles worsening, we needed to cancel future lessons at her physicians request. The next month she was required to have back surgery and would never be able to participate in any dance lessons. I called and talked to our instructor and they said that we could always extend the time and take the lessons in the future. I explained that my wife would never be able to take the lessons due to her back and asked to speak to the manager Bradley. When he returned my call, Bradley said there was nothing he could do, because he had a signed contract. Every two weeks for the next eight months my credit card was charged over $200. My contract is complete and they have received all of their money, 9 months of charges and rendered one month of services. I just want the public to know what they are getting into with this company. They act real friendly and caring like they want to build relationships, but I can assure you it is only about the money. Even if your partner dies I am sure they will make you fulfill their agreement.

I would love to give Planet Ballroom an awesome review, but I just can't. They were not willing to work with me and my fiancé to find a package that was affordable for us. They just wanted us to sign up for a package that cost over $400 a month. I have trouble understanding why they want to charge so much when they have Groupons for $75. We had a great time with our instructor for our four private lessons we got with our Groupon, but when we wanted to continue on there was just no way we could afford the outrageous prices. After talking with the manager, he still wanted to charge over $100 a lesson. When we were trying to negotiate the price, the manager simply stopped replying to our emails. We won't be using Planet Ballroom in the future because we definitely feel like our business is not valued. It was fun while it lasted Planet Ballroom, but consider emailing people back.

I love taking lessons here! I have been taking lessons with Bradley for a few months now and I am having an amazing time! He is a great instructor, and is very patient with me in my more "uncoordinated" moments :) I have gained a lot of confidence, I'm getting a lot of exercise, and I'm having a wonderful time in the process. I would recommend Planet Ballroom to anyone looking to learn how to dance in a studio with an amazing atmosphere!

I had a desire to learn how to ballroom dance. I met Bradley at Planet Ballroom. Nearly two years later, I feel confident on the dance floor and am having a "ball".

I walked into Planet Ballroom 8 months ago because I had a high school reunion to attend and wanted to not be shy when it came to people asking me to dance. Well I attended the reunion and I danced the whole night and felt great. Everyone was complementing me on my dancing. Thank you to all the teachers at Planet Ballroom Matthews (especially Tony) for teaching me how to dance and giving me the confidence. Now I dance nearly every night of the week at Planet Ballroom.

Dancing at planet ballroom is a great way to get and stay in shape, all while learning how to dance!!! Need I say more!

Holy cow. I have had so much fun here. I'm starting to look like an actual dancer and not complete idiot when I dance. Love all the classes and parties.

I have found my missing piece in charlotte and it is at Planet Ballroom Matthews. I look forward all week to have my lesson with teacher, Tony. The studio and staff are very nice to me. I always feel welcome, and would highly recommend joining to anyone.

I love this Planet Ballroom in Matthews because they have a schedule that allows me to take anytime! I can be there at 10am or 10pm!! Planet Ballroom is great at dancing and helping others to learn how to dance. I have gone to other places, and this is the most professional and safe place to dance in Charlotte area! Anthony is an awesome dancer and teacher!

My wife and I really enjoy learning how to dance at Planet Ballroom. They gave us a great wedding dance and now we are having fun with all the other dances. It helps our marriage stay strong.

Nice. Having a blast at Planet Ballroom in Matthews! Wish I had started here a long time ago. My life is mostly work and occasionally going out with friends. Planet Ballroom is a great place to learn to dance. I look forward to my lessons and the Friday night dances. It's a nice place to have fun and boogy on down!!

Planet Ballroom Matthews is an exciting place to be. It is beautiful, love the historic building, and the people are full of energy! I had some dance background, but not in ballroom. So cool to be dancing again!

Planet Ballroom Matthews is a great place to learn how to dance. I used to claim to have 2 left feet, but now I don't say that. I can now do foxtrot, tango, and the waltz.

Planet Ballroom is the place to be!!! I just moved to Charlotte from Florida a couple of months ago, I was looking for a fun way to stay in shape and boy did I find it! The building is buitiful, the energy is contagious!! Dancing at planet ballroom has changed my life! I would highly recommend!!!
