Founded in 1905, City Hospital is a nonprofit community hospital that provides health care service to more than 140,000 people in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties in West Virginia. Located in Martinsburg, W.Va., it offers a wide range of medical, surgical, obstetric, orthopedic, pediatric and mental health services. The hospital s cardiology department offers services that include pulmonary function testing, Holter monitoring, stress testing, peripheral vascular lab and sleep lab. Additionally, City hospital offers a wide range of rehabilitation services, including acuscope, electro-stimulation for rehabilitation, rehabilitation equipment, and speech, aquatic and occupational therapies. The hospital also offers several community programs and support groups, such as children with diabetes support group, advanced cardiovascular life support course, birthing class, and cancer survivor and patient support group. City hospital is accredited and licensed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the American College of Pathologists, the American Association of Blood Banks and the West Virginia Department of Health.
