HEIN LIGHTING & ELECTRIC, INC Hein Lighting and Electric has been serving the greater Bay Area since 1973, as electrical contractors. We handle all phases of electrical work, from large construction projects to residential needs. Currently the company employs approximately twenty five employees, of which 90% are electricians. Ed Hein, father of Jim and Richard Hein, founded the company in 1973. In 1988, Jim and Richard took over the complete operations of the company and incorporated it in 1992. Jim Hein is the organization's President and has been with the company since graduating from Del Valle High School in 1976. He handles the sales and marketing duties, oversees the Service Division and handles general operational needs of the company. Jim shows a dedication to his Company and employees that can only be matched by his complete loyalty to his customers. Richard Hein was the company's Chief Executive Officer from 1988 to December of 2006. He is currently working on new projects. The Service Division has been a mainstay of the company since its inception. It continues to grow through word of mouth as a quality oriented, reliable, and honest family run electrical company. The clientele of this division stretches from residential to major businesses in the East Bay. The Service Manager, Rick Mercado, has been with the company since 1989 and his division is staffed with seasoned and quality oriented electricians. The Construction Division is staffed with excellent electricians led by Jay Frantz. Jay has been with Hein Lighting and Electric since 1983. Our construction division has produced quality long-term contracts, an efficient and effective bid process and an infrastructure that enables the company to complete jobs with quality and dependability. Our administrative and accounting team is led by Michelle Diaz, who has been with the company since 2006, and is well seasoned in customer service within the construction industry. The main goal of Michelle and her supportive staff is to focus on quality, friendly, customer service.
