Founded in 1992, the Marshfield Area YMCA is a wellness center that serves children, women and adults. The center s aquatic staff provides assistance with development of personal safety and stroke and rescue skills. It offers in-home care services for children up to the age of 9. The Marshfield Area YMCA operates the Vacation Cool School Club, which is a full-day program for school-age children on nonschool days. The center organizes physical fitness and massage therapy programs. In addition, it operates several clubhouses and activity centers that offer recreational activities, including leisure education, dance, and arts and crafts. Located in Marshfield, Wis., the Marshfield Area YMCA also features sports programs for youths and teenagers.
