The company was to provide a 25 x 14 Concrete Patio. The company completed the work with several defects that they refuse to repair. After continuous times of asking them what they will do about it. Sending them pictures I finally filed a small claims complaint. The pad has severe pitting, the thickness in not consistent it ranges from 1 1/2" to 3", stress cracks have appeared, the foundation rocks are coming out, accidental cuts are in the patio from a dropped saw, and there are permanent pink lines on the patio. They attempted to try and blame it on the concrete mixers who were sub-contracted. We reached settlement outside of court and after I agreed to it, KBR attempted to slander me by saying I used resources available to me to get out of paying for their spotty work. I only requested what I payed, what it will cost to remove the patio, court cost and one day's pay since I would have to take off from work to go to court. I provided them pictures, the concrete mix company came out to inspect the patio. They stopped corresponding with me for over 30 days just hoping I would disappear. Beware they use uncertified people to do their work mostly day laborers. They are very unprofessional. I am going to attempt to get an attorney and sue them for damages due to the letters they wrote to the better business bureau that slandered me nothing factual only their thoughts. I still have to pay to have the concrete removed and replaced by a professional company. They even went on my Facebook and had taken a picture of my canopy and hot tub on the patio that I called an oasis. The thing that made them look even more foolish and unprofessional is the picture does not reveal the patio itself. This company is very unprofessional. I am a 100% disabled vet and served 25 years of honorable service in the Army and have seen a lot of things. KBR has topped the cake with unprofessionalism, manipulation and just a really bad construction company.
