I signed up at Dancing Hearts to have my Border Collie tested to see if he had instinct and drive for herding. That first lesson with Kathy opened up a new world for me in learning how to work and connect with my dog. My BC and I have now embarked on herding lessons so he can experience and live the original purpose for which he, as a Border Collie, was bred. Kathy is a patient, calm and positive instructor. I have a lifetime of training my dogs to be obedient and even do therapy work. Learning to teach my dog to herd is nothing like any training I have done before. It is tough work but even in these beginning lessons, it is extremely rewarding to watch my BC learn to manage his instinct and drive as Kathy teaches us the proper way to move the sheep. Our lesson is the most stress-free 30 minutes of my week. Thanks Kathy!
