This company has been wonderful in helping me with my elderly father who lives with me and is in poor health. They show up on time, never miss a day and took the time to find a person to match my dads needs, likes and dislikes. The first aide they sent, we had for 8 months until she needed some time off from work. If she was sick, they had another aide lined up to come. Even with her taking time off, they worked to find another aide that would fit his needs and one that could be there the entire time his regular aide was off so that we didn't have multiple people coming every week.

I went through 3 other aide services before choosing Purple Heart Home Care. I have enough experience with them to know and say with 100% certainty that Purple Heart Home Care is hands down the best. The other companies were undependable, missed days all the time and the company didn't even know if an aide didn't show up. I got to the point where I quit calling them when there was a no show. I just made sure to check the bill. It made it difficult for me to go about my day because I never knew if my dad was going to have an aide. I would also have to stay home to teach and show the aides every time there was a new one.

Purple Heart Home Care runs things like a true business concerning their employees but with an enormous amount of care for the customer. If you don't choose them first, you will come to learn what I have had to painfully learn through other companies. I don't wish that on anyone.

I would like to report one of your employees who was very rude to me over the phone. Her name was Myra. I was calling your company just to ask for some pay stubs for my friend so she could get her food stamps and all I got was rudeness over the phone. She didn't like the fact that a friend was calling for a friend. My friend is Spanish and sometimes doesn't understand things that are being told to her. My friend called and spoke to Myra and Myra told her that she needed to go on a computer to access her pay stubs. Well my friend does not know how to use a computer and doesn't have access to one. All I was trying to do was get her some help and Myra jumped down my throat and did not like the fact I was calling on her behalf. That was no way to treat someone and besides my friend asked me to call. I would like this problem to be fixed so that future calls that are taken by this Myra are not met with such bad actions on her part. I will be reporting this to the State of Connecticut if I do not receive an apology response from someone from your company in authority. My phone number is 860-875-2963. My mother in law has been disappointed with several of the workers because of communication issues and poor work ethic. They come late or don't have a vehicle to take her to doctor appointments and sit on the couch looking at their phones for the most part. There is a list of cleaning jobs they are supposed to do that seldom get done. They do help with personal care and meals but that is about all. Once in awhile a good worker does show up that will do all the housework and personal care but most times not. When we call and complain about it they do make an effort to try and find another worker but more times than not they miss the mark so we are having to call to make sure a worker will be there on time and have a car so they can take her to appointments the day prior to her needing to see a doctor.

when we (my two brothers and I) needed someone to assist in caring for our mother, we interviewed at least 7 care givers from 2 Agencies, they were all very important in our decision to go with Purple Hearts Home care. The Office Manager and several different Caregivers came to my mothers home and allowed us to interview all of them. We found the company and staff to be very professional, addressed all our questions and needs. We truly felt they were sincere and cared about my mothers well being. Needless to say, we engaged Purple Hearts Home Care and have not been disappointed. Regardless of our questions, concerns or requests, they always pull thru and make us confident we did the right thing for my mother. Follow ups with us are common place and they are always asking for feedback to help us provide my mother the best of care.
I Highly Recommend.

As a dedicated North East Salesman for my company, I searched long and hard for a Homecare Agency where I felt comfortable leaving my precious mother. After doing plenty of research, and visiting several other Homecare Agency's websites in the area, I found Purple Hearts Homecare about two years ago. My mom hasn't been boarded anywhere else since. The staff at Purple Hearts Homecare is knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They truly care about for my mom as they do their own, and my mom's house is always spotless. Unlike most of the stories I hear from my friends, they also offer weekly updates via email or text to reassure you while you are separated from your loved one. I highly recommend Purple Hearts Homecare to care for your Mom or Dad while you are out of town.
