My vet was out of town and the office suggested Pennyrile Animal Clinic. It was almost closing time and they told me to bring Patrick, my Toy Fox Terrier right over. They were great! Everyone was kind to both Patrick and me even though was closing time and I'm sure they wanted to get out of there. It's Monday morning and Patrick is fine. This is a great place to take your fur babies!

Dr Tapp gave my cat Tiger a chance when no one else would. He treated him and gave me 6 more wonderful months that I would not have had with him otherwise. When the time came that quality of life was no longer, he treated me and Tiger with respect and care the entire time. He is truly a wonderful person and a wonderful doctor. I will not trust anyone else to treat my animals except Dr. Tapp. He is truly the best.

Dr. Tapp is wonderful!!! I recently took my cats there and he worked diligently to get to the bottom of the issue! Once my cats were taken care of, he continued to help me, as they were contagious. He contacted other resources and provided me with information for myself! That is qualities you don't normally see in a vet! Once the animal is cared for, their job is over, however he contined to work with me personally! He is knowledgeable and very personable. I highly recommend him at Pennyrile! :)

Hats off to Dr Walter and his staff for seeing our baby just before they closed. He was so sick. Dr Walter even gave me a hug because we had to leave him there. I will never use anyone else. They are incredible

This is the only place we take our pets. The staff is kind and caring. The staff also goes above and beyond the call of duty. We had to have a pet put to sleep well after hours and the vet came in immediately. They also took care of our dog who had diabetes and was insulin dependent.
I highly recommend this place. I will not take my pets anywhere else.

Pennyrile animal clinic and staff are compassionate and caring. They have cared for my pets for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

When we got a new puppy, I took him to Pennyrile for his initlal checkup. The doctor came in the examination room, picked up the puppy and left. When he returned, he said he puppy had a parasite (can't remember how to spell itO that was potentially fatal but to give him some pills. No reassurances that he would be OK until I asked. Every other time I've taken a new puppy to a vet, I've been given lots of specific instructions on the care and feeding of my new friend. Not at Pennyrile. I was in and out quickly with the vet having said very little.



I will say that I heard they also have a woman vet who is quite good, but both times I went there we had to see the old gentleman. The third time we needed a vet (at midnight after someone stepped on the puppy's leg and we're sure it was broken), we called another vet a friend had recommended and the answering service said someone would call us right back. They called immediately and even though we hadn't been their client before and it was midnight on a Saturday night, they met us there in about 10 minutes. I can't remember her name, but the doctor was wonderful.
