Madison Area Technical College, established in 1912 and located in Madison, Wis., offers a variety of educational and technical programs to the students through its various campuses. It provides more than 100 associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship and short-term certificate programs, including liberal arts transfer, as well as high school completion options, basic skills education, and over 100 adult continuing education programs. The College has an enrollment of more than 44,000 students. Its library has a large collection of course notes, documents, reference books, and current, international and domestic newspaper collection. It additionally organizes sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, tennis, football and golf. The university provides various other services, such as housing facility, transportation, financial assistance and health care services.
