I needed a crankshaft to be turned and I tried a few places in macon. Wheelers machine shop said it couldn't be fixed. Then I decided to try one last place so I went to atkins. I had a really bad situation. My key way on my crank was damaged so I couldn't get the oil pump or front sprocket off. And it also had bad score marks from a bad bearing. I took it in and the man took some measurements of it and said that it was in spec. So he charged me 125 total to turn the crank, heat it up to get the sprocket off and to fix the key way. Well a few weeks later when I tried to instal my crankshaft I had messed up the order of the main bearing caps. I took it back and he polished it free of charge. I finished my engine and it currently has about 4,000 miles in it and I push it really really hard. (7000rpm and up) Great service and good work by the book.
