Lowell National Historical Park, one of over 400 units in the National park System in the United States, interpret and preserves significant historical and cultural resources from the 19-century American Industrial Revolution. The park includes a 142-acre Park District and an adjacent and overlapping 583-acre Historic Preservation District. Lowell National historical Park represents an innovative park concept that provides for an historical/cultural park in a living, working, urban environment.
