Clinton Electronics Corporation was founded by Thomas L. Clinton Sr. in 1963. The company was established to manufacture black and white, which is also known as monochrome, cathode ray television tubes. At that time, industry indicators were predicting that black and white television was doomed to extinction by the much more glamorous portable color television sets. The company remains in the electro-optical telecommunications market. Its cathode ray tubes, electron guns, monitors and components are regarded as world-class products. Clinton Electronics Corporation is located in Loves Park, Ill.
