Was at Vernon Lanes over the weekend after not having been there over a few years and i must say the place has became wonderful. They boast 178 Kentucky bourbons(Knowing bourbon very Well I drilled the staff and pleasantly found out they know there stuff. ask Eric or Scott any question about bourbon and you will get a good reliable answer.) They have the oldest lanes in Louisville and offer a really cool environment on and off the lanes so whether or not you looking to bowl you can have a great time at the place. I met Eric the GM and Scott the front of house manager. I would just like to say these two do an amazing job and have really in my opinion made ha huge difference in the place. Please take the time and visit. As far as the comments of a person below on reservations. I made a reservation and had no problem getting in and on the lane. I did see a few couples who came in trying to wing it without a reservation and as for any place that all its spots were taken they didnt get to bowl for a few hours but as soon a something freed up they got right on. They did stay and drinkat the bar entertained by a great staff. O yes call Scott the captain (when you get there you will see why This guy actually wears a pirate hat at all times giving the Vernon club Just a little bit more character.) Wow good job Vernon keep it up!

Totally agree with the reservation. I have called to make a reservation 2 days prior, when I went they said there is no record of my reservation. I also feel the person work there isn't very pleasant . I won't go back there anymore.

Awesome venue for live original music. Check the website vernonclub.com for upcoming shows. Great spot for private parties.

Be careful making reservations for parties. I made one for my 14 year old's birthday party 5 days in advance; received confirmation and upon arrival, discovered "it was not in the computer." Further, they were booked solid with other parties, so were were just out of luck. Attendant told us it was the second time this weekend this has happened, but that it happens all the time. The hassle factor involved in relocating a party of teenagers is huge. No apology, just a few passes shoved my way. I love Vernon's in general, but whoever is in charge of reservations is falling down on the job.
